This dress design was inspired by the soft, super-feminine dresses of the 1930's.
Please excuse my awful sketch and picture :s
This wrap dress could be made up in polka dots of any size, swiss dots, pin spots or pretty much any print. Ive drawn it with a plain frill and small polka dots, but it would look awesome with a small polka dot or striped frill and a large polka dot main body, or vice versa.
Use a georgette or chiffon for a floaty effect.
The little diagram next to the design isnt precisely accurate, I am not a pattern drafter. But it is to give an idea of how the dress works. The back is a a deep V like the front, and the frill is continuous from front to back. (sorry I couldn't figure out how to draw that accurately.)
Fasten the sides with a button or tie for good measure and add a 2inch belt with a clasp buckle (is that what that's called?) at the natural waist.
