Hello!
My first submission, sorry for my english, i'm french!
Let me introduce you to my idea of a perfect top : just enough fantasy to keep it chic, beautifull fabrics, easy to do!
When i did the sketch of this top, i thought about all the fabrics i have in my sewing room, and realised that i own a lot of different silk fabrics, i love them! I tried to realise something involving the shiny side of satin silk and the fluffy and featherweight sensation of silk chiffon. And here we are, this nice simple top, with a second layer that create a cowl neck effect.
For the top layer, you can either sew contrasting bias for the finition, or try to use a new technique : hand rolled hem, it is perfect for delicate fabrics like silk chiffon and not so hard to do.
I also think that it is nice to discover and try new method when starting a new project.

So i hope you will like this top!

Wonderful job on your presentation! I love this design. It is soft and feminine and will work well with both formal and casual wear. The zipper in your design is a good touch as long as it is sewn to be invisible.

As I understand your layout, you would be using solid silks for the under part of the blouse and the soft silks for the over blouse part. If this is correct, that would make some truly outstandingly beautiful blouses.

Play around with your colors, mix them up a bit,and see what you can come up with. I look forward to see your future designs.

HI!
thank you for your nice comment.
And that's exactely what you said, soft silk on the top layer, floating around the shoulders and over the bust.
I hope i will have time and inspiration to enter the future competition, i saw the old themes and entries, and it was really amazing, so many good ideas!

Great work, also a good idea to add accessories and fabric samples. I'm not sure if the zipper is needed though.

i'm not sure either, but i thought that if the top is very near the body, it might be difficult to get in (and out!) without a zipper...
but i never made any pattern so i dont know!!
