When i think about something feminine, i always think about pleated, draped fabrics. Maybe it is this kind of antique style vision we have from clothes, when there was no machine to help. We you see the grecian godesses representation, they are always so gracefull!
I tried to use this idea but to adapt it on a modern dress. Just on side is pleated, the other one is normal, so i think the pattern will be asymetrical, on side dress, the other side full of pleats!
I recommend a heavy fabric, like wool or linen, maybe some coton, in my idea, the pleats have to be very sharp, to emphasize the body shapes.
