The Sail pants are semi low-waisted easy-fit trousers (wool or stiff silk) with with a longitudinal pleat/ projection down the back of the leg. This 'sail' imperceptibly resists forward movement causing the pants to balloon slightly away from the body and increasing air circulation. It also looks awesome. The pants are worn by the third model in the image (far right).
