The wide belt or waist detail could be done in a contrasting fabric, maybe tweed or something like that. All the boarders could be done in a shiny fabric such as satin or something for both the pants and waist detail. This design could be adjusted to fit your own style, cropped pants or long, types of fabric used, add a belt or not, and even choose your favorite type of buttons :)
