I'm not sure if anybody else than me would consider this skirt sophisticated, but in my world it is and I'd certainly wear it to a dinner party - even with thick overknee socks. :-)

Of course you could always dress it up with a nice blouse and more dressy hosiery.

I would imagine this to be made of jersey fabric. The straps form a V and can be detached to make the skirt more versatile.
