I see this skirt constructed with a Japanese inspired Obi-belt style yoke with a bow in front - it could be finished simply as it is or with one or both of the embellishments pictured. with a frill at the bottom (something quite full i think) or with the floaty twirls at the sides - i imagines these as being quite floaty like the gorgeous valentino gown, but could be heavier depending on use or season : )

I really like the Valentino ruffles a lot more than the bottom ruffling, very pretty and a good length.
