What kind of fabric did you use for your dress? What qualities should I look for when selecting fabric for the project? What should I avoid?
I feel like I am consistently stymied by material selection, both in sewing and knitting. I'd love a crash course in what works when, and how to avoid common mistakes. Any resources you could point me to?

For the Celebrate Summer dress you could use almost any lightweight, non-stretch fabric that is not too thick. Once you have found one you like, touch it, drape it and see how it falls. If your fabric is a little bit stiff it will accentuate the A-line shape of the skirt, while a less stable quality will make it look more floaty.
Regarding your need for a crash course - I will put together a couple of general tips and post them in the news section in the next couple of days!

This dress is very very beautiful and I want to make the dress but i don't understand an measurements of patter. My size is 8 (38 in UE) and I don't understand what you mean ' fabric : cut x2' ? Each piece make in two copies? And measures are not indicated, can you tell me the widht and height of each piece.
