   I'm dying to create this skirt, but I don't want the gauzy overlay. How do I need to modify the instructions to just get the solid skirt underneath?

   It's really no poblem at all to make the skirt without the extra layer of fabric. Just leave it away!

   well... thats pretty obvious now that you say : )
   should i be careful with my choice of fabric for this skirt? i dont want the little ruffles to stick out weirdly...
