   Anyways, here is my version of the Celebrate Summer dress that I made for my high school's homecoming. I added a red metal zipper in the back, and I didn't do the confusing zig-zaginess on the straps, that was too confusing for me! But I got a lot of compliments on my dress, and was very, very happy that I made my own, as opposed to getting the risque Deb store version of homecoming.

   Oh, and I didn't have fusible interfacing, but used some hand-me down expensive upholstery fabric, and it worked really really well.

   Wow, the dress looks fantastic on you - and it's the first time we see one of our patterns being used, how cool is that!! I'm really, really glad the pattern worked out well for you and you're happy with your dress!

   Thank you, Kim! I absolutely love the site. I've been telling everyone who will listen about it! There needs to be more stuff like this out there!

   Wombat: Surprisingly, it wasn't actually very difficult. I think it would have been more so if I had had a really flimsy fabric, or had decided to do a lining, or hadn't had endless company and a somewhat odd book on tape to listen to, but it really was a great experience for me!
